About POD

We’re a community-owned car-sharing club directed by local volunteers.

In 2024 we raised over £120,000 in start-up funding and over £20,000 from our Society share offer. We’ve purchased 5 modern, highly efficient hybrid cars that are available around Hebden Bridge and Todmorden.

As a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society, we’re here to serve the local community – not to grab profits. We’re committed to the ethos of co-operation, sharing resources locally, and improving environmentally-conscious options for everyone in the community.

Our first cars became available in February 2025 and many of our users have told us that they have since been able to give up their own car, with the associated saving in costs, and reduced pressure on parking spaces in our towns!
