About POD

We’re a small, local car-sharing club that is just getting going – directed by local volunteers. From our inception in April 2024 we’ve raised over £120,000 in start-up funding and over £20,000 from our Society share offer. We’ve purchased 5 hybrid Toyotas that will be parked around Hebden Bridge and Todmorden.

We’re a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society, meaning we’re here to serve the local community – not to grab profits. We’re deeply committed to the ethos of co-operation, sharing resources locally, and improving the available environmentally-conscious lifestyle options.

We’re just getting going, and plan to have people signed-up and using the cars sometime in February 2025.

POD doesn’t stand for anything. It’s just our name.

Help will be here! (for existing POD users)

We’re still getting up and running, but this will be the place to come for help, whether in getting set up, or if something unfortunate happens.
