About POD

We’re a community-owned car-sharing club directed by local volunteers.

From our inception in April 2024 we’ve raised over £120,000 in start-up funding and over £20,000 from our Society share offer. We’ve purchased 5 modern, efficient hybrid cars that are available around Hebden Bridge and Todmorden.

We’re a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society, meaning we’re here to serve the local community – not to grab profits. We’re deeply committed to the ethos of co-operation, sharing resources locally, and improving the available environmentally-conscious options for everyone in the community.

Our first cars became available in February 2025.

“POD” is not initials for anything. It’s just our name.
